After the fun of the Krouse Gang reunion ended, we were thrilled to have the Nelsons stay in MD for a few more weeks to visit. We filled the time with lots of fun activities: Owen and Nic went to camp together, trips up to Elkton, sleepovers, and more. One of the most fun activities was a trip aboard the Fearless with the Urban Pirates in Baltimore. This family cruise aboard a pirate ship leaves from Fells Point and tours the Inner Harbor. The crew was great and there were lots of fun games along the way to keep the kids entertained. Plus, there was a backstory about a defected pirate (Mad Dog) who we were chasing around the harbor because he stole our treasure. One of the funniest parts was hearing Owen and Nic retell the story over and over again ("and did you see how he stole the treasure?") - they ate it up! We also had an obligatory picture at Picture People and were amazed that we got not 1 but 2 shots that turned out great (not easy with 5 kids ranging from 4 months - 8!). It was such an amazing visit and Owen can't stop asking when they are coming back! We are hoping for a fall visit for a PSU football game. . .
