This year, the holiday season seemed to go by so quickly, but we did have the opportunity to get out for a few fun holiday outings. We headed out for Blinkin' Binkies, a walk through a local light display, meeting up with our buddy Ollie (and his mom Lauren too!). The kids had a great time looking at all the lights and both Owen and Joey walked the entire 1.4 mile course. We also went to the Baltimore Zoo for a breakfast with Santa event. It was a really fun time - the kids got meet Santa of course and they also had animals to check out and some fun crafts. Joey was a little uncertain about Santa, but we managed to get 1 photo where he doesn't look TOO petrified. We then were able to check out the animals at the zoo and luckily the weather cooperated. Owen also got to build a gingerbread house with his Nana and Pop-pop. He alternated between being very proud of his creation and constantly asking to eat it. . . Finally, no Xmas is complete without a visit to Santa at the shopping mall. I had been intending to go for weeks and finally got my act together on 12/22/11, fearful of how mobbed the mall might be. Thankfully, it was not too terrible, but instead of Joey being scared, Olivia had a full-on meltdown as soon as she got into Santa's lap. Oh well - 2 out of 3 isn't too bad. . .
