Owen's first Thanksgiving was spent in Elkton, MD with a whopping 19 family members. It was a great day with beautiful weather (70 degrees), plenty of food, and good company. The best part though from our standpoint was that the night before, he slept a record 7 hours straight! He had been sleeping well generally, but only 3-4 hour stretches which was definitely starting to wear on us. So, we are thrilled with this new sleep pattern and hope it wasn't just a fluke (he went for 6 hours the next night, so things are looking good so far. . .).
Thanksgiving also gave us a chance to reflect on the many things we are thankful for this year. We are obviously so thankful for the beautiful, healthy, happy little boy who has joined our family. We also have been so amazed and so grateful for the love, well wishes, and generosity extended by so many people in our lives as we welcomed Owen this fall. Your e-mails, phone calls, cards, gifts, and visits are much appreciated and Owen is so lucky to have such loving and supportive friends and family around him. We cannot thank you enough.
