That's one big kid. . .

It's hard to believe that Owen is already 2 months old. He had his 2-month check-up yesterday, so we have updated stats:

Weight: 13 lb, 6 oz (75th - 90th percentile)
Length: 25 1/4 in (above the 95th percentile)
Head circumference: 15 3/4 in (50th percentile)

He got a bunch of shots which was pretty traumatic for both him and his mother, but he took it like a man. You can see in this video just how much he's grown in the past few months. He's smiling all the time now and has found his voice (and his hands which he likes to put in his mouth).

We'd also like to welcome anyone to comment on any of the posts (just click on the comment link at the bottom right of the post). You don't have to have a google account and can even post anonomously if you don't want to own up to the comment. We love hearing from everyone and hope you've been enjoying the blog.

What a giant baby you have! So cute too. I be he even smells baby-good, when he's not pooping, that is. Is he ever not pooping?

Are you going to get him familiar with the joys of a soccer ball? It's never too soon, you know. Headers. He'll be unstoppable.

I check your blog almost daily, so your efforts are appreciated!

Thanks so much for all of your comments. Just wanted to answer your Qs b/c they are definitely ones we get asked ALOT:

Sleep - still going really well. He's been sleeping for 6-7 hour stretches for the past week. It feels so good to have uninterrupted sleep!

Rocky - he seems to be adjusting pretty well and isn't too upset about being displaced by the baby. He shows minimal interst in Owen generally but will lick his face everyone once in a while.

Soccer or Basketball? - who knows what kind of athlete Owen will turn out to be, but I definitely plan on signing him up for soccer when he's old enough. I'm sure he'll end up playing basketball too, so we'll see how things turn out. . .
