Still Lovebirds

Owen has been lucky to see his girlfriend Sophie several times over the past few months and their romance is still going strong (remember their early days?). Although it is a long-distance relationship (Sophie lives in Chevy Chase, MD), they actually got to see each other twice during August and Sophie recently made the trip to Philly for Owen's 2nd bday party (pictures and video of that grand event will be forthcoming). At the beginning August, we got together at Wheaton Regional Park in MD. This is a great place for kids complete with nature center, miniature train, carousel, and cool playgrounds. Owen and Sophie had a great time, although he was so excited to see her that his hello hug quickly degenerated into a tackle! Then at the end of August, Sophie and her parents made the trip up to Sesame Place and we were able to meet up again. Owen and Sophie loved taking pictures together with all the characters. If you can't tell what is going on in the video below, Owen is telling Zoe (the orange character in the tutu) that Elmo is just on the other side of that wall. Sophie then enters the scene to tell Zoe that she is wearing shoes. We had a great time and feel lucky to have such great friends to get together with!
