As an early birthday present we took Owen to see the "real" Thomas the train this past weekend. Like most children his age, Owen is very much into all forms of transportation, such as fire trucks, police cars, airplanes, and especially trains. Thomas just happened to be visiting the train museum near Lancaster, PA in the amish country. We got to ride the full-size Thomas train on a 15 minute trip forwards and backwards down the track, which was absolutely thrilling (for Owen at least). We also just happened to see Owen's friend Ellie there, which made it a lot of fun. They even got to share a 10:30 AM ice cream together.
